2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by an external hosting provider.

Hosting provider: ALL-INKL

Before publication, the exact contractual company name and address must be added from the hosting agreement or the provider's documentation.

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider may create technically necessary server log files. These may contain the IP address, date and time of the request, requested page or file, referrer URL, browser and browser version, operating system, HTTP status code and transferred data volume.

The data is processed to deliver the website technically, maintain system security, diagnose technical errors and prevent misuse. No visitor statistics are generated from the log files.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

The server log files are deleted after seven days.

3. Contact by email

When a visitor makes contact by email, the email address, sender's name if provided, message content and any voluntarily supplied information or attachments may be processed.

The purpose of processing is to handle and respond to the inquiry, deal with possible follow-up questions and, where relevant, initiate professional or contractual communication.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when the communication concerns pre-contractual measures. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is the legal basis for other legitimate communication and responding to inquiries.

The data will be retained only for as long as necessary to process the inquiry and to comply with any applicable legal retention obligations.

4. Local website assets

Fonts, stylesheets, scripts and the JavaScript logic used for the charts are served locally from this website. These assets require no connection to an external font or JavaScript CDN. The website does not currently use Plotly.js.

5. Cookies and local storage

According to the current implementation, this website uses no cookies or comparable browser storage technologies.

6. External links

The website contains ordinary links to external websites such as GitHub, LinkedIn, FH Salzburg and project websites. A connection to the respective external provider is established only after a visitor actively follows a link.

7. Bachelor thesis visualizations

The interactive bachelor thesis visualizations are rendered in the visitor's browser using locally hosted JavaScript and static data files. The charts do not send research or visitor data to an external chart provider.

8. Data subject rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, data subjects have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, and objection. Where processing is based on consent, that consent may be withdrawn with effect for the future.

Requests may be sent to info@kilian-lehmeier.de. Statutory retention obligations may prevent immediate deletion.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

Data subjects may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. For an Austrian website operator, this is generally the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde).

10. Updates

This privacy policy may be updated if the website, hosting configuration or personal-data processing activities change.
